Plein-air lithography–painted with lithographic tusche directly on lithography stones while observing milkweed pods growing along an old farm fence.  I am most satisfied with the gestural wash painting of the milkweed pods, luminous color and transparency of layers. The subtleties of these formal qualities are crucial to conveying the concept of this print–revelation of emotions.
