In the Midwestern US, right before a severe thunderstorm, the light becomes an eerie greenish-gray, air heavy with humidity, accompanied by a windless silence —only the distant rumbling of thunder. Challenges in life can be upon us like an impending summer storm. Suddenly we find ourselves amidst the quiet, aware and powerless to stop the turbulence about to beset us.
